Stemming from the last post below, earlier this year I began a series titled ‘Nine Polaroids’ and I have recently added 7 new pieces to the series. If you have not seen the series before, I have posted the entire series, including the 8 previous pieces below.

Artist Statement for NINE POLAROIDS:

Inspired by architecture, art installations, and the natural environment as well as the Rule of Thirds, I shoot 9 distinct images of various locations around the world. I then use a Daylab Copy System Pro to transfer the images onto expired Polaroid 669 film which causes unexpected hues and saturation, as well as chemical imperfections in the image, allowing each ninth of the overall photograph to be distinct. I then scan all 9 Polaroids and arrange them next to each other in Photoshop without any digital enhancement. The final product is as much a photograph as it is a piece of art.
