Last night I attended the worldwide opening of Damien Hirst’s spot paintings. All eleven Gagosian galleries across the globe (London, New York, Los Angeles, Athens, Hong Kong, Geneva, etc) hosted a grand total of 331 paintings created from 1986 to 2011.
It was a packed opening full of the typical glamorous Beverly Hills crowd mixed with kooky artists, suave interior designers, and a sprinkle of international flare.
