We have been waiting ALL weekend to write this post and are so excited it’s finally Monday! Today we are launching a new photo series on Maison Gray and to celebrate, we have made a video and are doing a give-a-way on my Facebook page.
For anyone who knows me and my work, I love to create and spread humor and joy in my images. Over the past year during various travels for my A la Plage, A la Piscine series, I photographed inflated Mylar balloons spelling various words in different unique locations.
With time and practice (balloons are not easy to shoot my friends!) I have decided to launch the series today by giving you a look inside one of the photo shoots I recently did out in the desert by Palm Springs.
The series is titled ‘Up & Away‘ and the artist statement is below:
Balloons are a universal symbol of celebration, happiness and joy. This typology series shot around the world explores using Mylar balloons in unnatural environments creating humor and joy through the words & letters in each image.
