Hello Everyone,
I am so incredibly excited to share today’s post with you. For the past 4 months I have been developing a new body of work that I finally got to execute over the holiday break. Thanks to some wonderful friends who put me up and an amazing pilot, I was able to take to the skies over Aspen, Colorado and photograph the beginning of my new aerial ski-resort series, À la Montagne.
Stemming from my previous beach series, À la Plage, À la Piscine, this series also centers itself around our love of water—only a different form: snow.
Shooting from doorless helicopters, this series captures the world of luxury ski mountains from above. Carpeted by the white snow, the majestic geographical surroundings create a beautiful canvas for skiers, chair lifts, and other objects to appear as a pattern below. This series is a visual celebration of natural form, color, repetition— and winter joy.
I encourage you to click on each image to see it in full size since there is quite a bit of detail. As you read this my amazing web designer is building the new work into my store—a few pieces are already available.
I am honored to share these with you,
xx -G
